This time of year is always busy, but seems to be especially busy this year. With two kids that are growing and growing, two side businesses plus a blog, and all the other responsibilities of being an adult.. Time seems to just be flying by and it has been really hard to get my workouts in. Since I have been so busy, I have at least not just been sitting around.
I was glad that we started another 2 week challenge with the Mamavation Crew to help me refocus and have a goal to work towards. In addition with some new protein shakes I was drinking last week, I actually lost 1 1/2 pounds!! I was shocked! With all the working out I have been doing over the last few months, I really haven’t lost a whole lot of weight, but it did help me see that I do need to make more changes in my eating habits.
This weekend I blew a lot of my focus because I had a craft show to go to and didn’t take the best choices when it came to food. It is so easy to lose focus when you get busy and I paid for it by feeling really groggy and worn down.
I think I am going to order more of the protein shakes to help me keep going in the weight loss. It was definitely a good feeling and I liked knowing what I was going to have for breakfast each day. When left to my own devices especially when I get busy, I wind up not eating healthy or at all… I plan on keeping up with my 2 week challenge workouts this next week and hopefully perk my energy back up. It is so great to have the support of Mamavation and know if I need help or focus then I can just reach out.
Our question of the week: How does your family support your weight loss efforts?
My family has been really supportive of me. They have seen some of the changes in me and have noticed how my clothes are fitting differently. My hubby has even started a challenge with people at his work to have their own weight loss challenge.
