I have been on the search lately for alternative butters that I can use that are organic as well as healthier for me and my family than just plain butter. Now, don’t get me wrong I love me some real butter and it has its uses, but I would like something that is just a bit better for us to use on a day to day basis. I was sent some free coupons to try out Melt Organic Spread, an organic coconut oil butter.
Melt is a blend of organic coconut oil, flaxseed oil, palm fruit oil, canola oil, and sunflower oil. This blend gives you the healthy good fats that your body needs on a day to day basis. It is the fats we use to burn energy and not store it like other fats.
I used the Melt spread over my bagels one morning. It melted so quickly and soaked in to the bread giving it a yummy taste. There is a good blend of oils so that not one is overpowering in flavor or taste.
The Melt spread is so versatile and you can use it in place of butter in so many of your recipes. I used it while sauteeing some veggies and it transformed the veggies into something just a little different and oh so good. It is great to be able to find healthy oils that I can use in so many areas of cooking and baking.
