This post was created in partnership with Dole. I have received compensation for this post.

Glorious Spring time weather here in Texas right now and all I can think about is some yummy frozen treats. So I got in the kitchen and thought what about making a frozen treat that is just for adults??!! Just by taking a bag of DOLEĀ frozen cherry berry blend, honey, and a bottle of Prosecco I made a divine frozen cocktail treat that I am sure will be a big hit at your next party or just to keep in the freezer for when you have had a long day! I will show you the easy way to make Mixed Berry Prosecco Granita. Note: this is only for those who are 21 and older.

First head to your grocer’s freezer section and get one of the small bags of Dole Cherry Berry Blend. It has blueberries, cherries, raspberries, and blackberries. Some of my favorite fruits. Then head over and get your favorite bottle of prosecco or champs if that is what you prefer. Something bubbly and divine.

You don’t even have to defrost the fruit, simply pour the whole bag in to the blender with about 1/2 bottle of prosecco and 1-4-1/2 cup honey depending upon how sweet you would like it. Blend then pour into a glass baking dish and pop it in to the freezer. It doesn’t have to be glass, but that is what I used.

Every hour or so, take the mixture and scrape it with a fork. This will break up the ice crystals as it begins to freeze. It takes about 4 hours or so to freeze to a good consistency.

You are then left with an icy crunchy yummy mixed berry prosecco granita. Almost like an adult version of a snocone.

Enjoy this treat while you are laying out at the pool, just finished with some yard work, or on one of those “long” days of being a parent šŸ™‚ It is so versatile in that you can change out the fruits as well as make it non alcoholic by using a sparkling apple juice or grape juice so that they kids can enjoy it too.

Thanks Team DoleĀ for allowing me to participate in this project. I love using Dole frozen fruits in my morning smoothies, but I am always looking for new ways to use it. What ways do you like to use Dole Frozen Fruits?

Love the “adult snow cone” —- and in the heat that is coming up – so needed.
