My Resolutions for 2013

I have never been one to really make resolutions. I am sure here and there I have tried to make them, but most of the time I wind up disappointed because I didn’t cross them all off my list or they were just too lofty to begin with.

This year though I would like to put in writing here what I am striving to do better this year. Nothing lofty, but I want to have goals this year that I can grow and achieve and hopefully push myself.

I want to love my kids and husband more... They are my life. I have become so busy with my blog, baking business, watching more kids that sometimes I am so tired and stressed. My family deserves a wife/mommy who is there for them and can give them all of my love and attention.

I want to learn new skills. I love baking and this past year have learned a few new items to add to my menu, but would love to branch out more and see what works and what doesn’t. Baking makes me happy and I love sharing that with other people.

I want to run more!!! This is a goal that I am already starting to take full force. Running makes me happy. It makes my body feel good and it is time that I have just for me. I have already signed up for a few races including my first HALF MARATHON in March!! I have joined the group 13 in 2013 and 5 by the 5th to help me stay inspired and push myself farther than I have before.

I want to be healthier. I don’t want to say that I want to lose a certain amount of weight or anything like that, I just want to make myself and my family healthier. I have learned over the past month that by going back to eating junk, my pain has gone sky high again and has made me grumpy, tired and worn down. MY eating clean and organic, my pain was becoming manageable and lessened WITHOUT having to take and drugs. I like that feeling and want to keep it up.
I don’t think that these goals are unattainable. They are things I should be doing and thinking about anyways. There are more things that I would like to do and be in the next year, but I want to make sure I focus on what is important and that is family and health and my spiritual life.
Wishing you all the best in 2013.
