New Mommy Makeover by Colleen Riddle- One Month Update

What mommy hasn’t struggled with her weight and trying to lose those stubborn pounds that you put on while growing a baby in your belly? After two kids, I had quite a bit to lose since I ate and ate and ate while pregnant!! I have worked hard and have thankfully lost 25 pounds over the last 18 months+.

It is not always easy to balance your time or even think about yourself when you have a new baby around, let alone think about trying to lose weight and get back in to shape. Colleen Riddle has put together a program called New Mommy Makeover where she gives you the tools, workouts and eating guidelines to help mommies whether your baby is a couple months old or years old, it doesn’t matter. This program can help you!!

My good friend Robin was given the chance to take on the program and here are her firsts months results! So proud of her!!

I am a guest blogger for my dear friend April. While she is an amazing stay at home mom who blogs beyond my wildest dreams, this is my first blog entry.  I am a mommy of two little girls ( 3 years old and 8 months old) and a 5th grade teacher. When Colleen approached April about a new way to lose weight she was excited, but has already managed to lose quite a bit of her weight and I am grateful she thought of me. April watches my girls during the day and hears me complain about my weight and tiredness frequently!!  Colleen graciously allowed me to to try out her New Mommy Makeover system instead of April. 

I had about 10 pounds of baby weight to lose plus excess thyroid weight that has been stubborn coming off after finally getting the medication under control. SO I was eager to try this system. While diving into this during the holidays I am not doing the full system yet. I am in the Phase 1 workout sessions and am going to start the phase 2 DVD next week. Although the Phase 1 DVD sufficiently kicks my butt even after 4 weeks!! I love the encouragement that Colleen provides throughout the DVD it is truly motivating. I struggle with taking time away from my kids when I already work all day, but she even gives you a quick 10 minute power option to keep you active on those weak days. I have started adjusting my calorie intake to my specifically calculated amount. She breaks it down in to snacks and food categories which I am beginning but not fully into yet. With all of the holiday parties and busyness of fundraising for our school in Uganda I am on the go too much this month. 

I have already lost 6 pounds, 2 inches off my waist, and half inch in hips and thighs. I am fitting into more and more of my pre pregnancy clothes easier. My tummy is less bulgy and I don’t feel like I look 3 months pregnant any more.  

This New Mommy Makeover is pretty amazing with combinations of what your body needs to lose the nasty belly bulk left after having your body overtaken as home for a little one for 9 months. I am so exhausted by the time I am done teaching especially since my little Ellie only sleeps about 2 hours at a time through the night. I keep the DVD in my laptop in my classroom, close the door and go to it right after school a few days a week. Even on a busy day just doing 10 minutes of one of the workout can leave me feeling totally worked out. I love all the intensity levels Colleen gives as well as the new mommy encouragement. If you are struggling with how to get started losing weight I highly recommend the New Mommy Makeover. I am not even doing the whole system and am losing a pound a week – with the holiday parties, holiday drinks, and a few Chic Fil A sandwiches! I look forward to see what January holds when I take my phase 2 to the full system with all the tips and food combinations to kick in my metabolism to high burning gear combined with her next set of workouts! 

Colleen is running a special through the end of December if you are looking for a great way to start off your New You New Year’s Resolution. If I can do it ANYONE can do this and be successful!! If you know someone struggling with trying to take off that extra weight, consider picking this up for them. Colleen makes the workouts quick, fun, and power packed for weight loss success.
