Didn’t have a good week last week on Nutrisystem, fell off the wagon a little bit and gained about a pound. I’m not happy about it, but I’m not discouraged either. I understand that my weight is always going to fluctuate, because it has my whole life. It just seems that when I was younger, it didn’t change as much week to week.
I don’t really understand the science behind everything that goes on in my body. Sure, I get that controlling calories, cutting back on fat intake, and eating smaller meals to get my metabolism going are important. What I don’t get is how you can have the same diet and lose weight one week and gain it on another. I have a pretty set routine, and nothing much changes except for the occasional dinner out.
I always promise that I’m going to focus on something different every week, and this week it’s getting back to walking or riding the bike EVERY day. I still go on walks with the kids and take them to the park, but I haven’t been doing it as frequently as I was in the beginning, so time to get back on it. So, we’re at 225.6 pounds and going in the wrong direction. Time to get busy.
