Well, this last month sure has been a change in my journey of changing my life, health, and more. It has been a month packed with friends, family, business and challenges galore.
I have to say that Nutrisystem has really helped me to get a new focus on what I should be eating as far as how much, less fat, and more veggies! It has been a bit of a struggle though when I get busy or am having a stressful day and all I want is a big chunk of chocolate or some super salty chips. Funny thing is, when you start eliminating things out of your diet that aren’t really good for you, when you do go back and eat them they sure taste different and not quite as good as you remember.
I have done really good this last week about not having many cheats. I have been trying my best to stick to around 1200 calories. There have been a few days that I was hungry, but usually by then it was time to eat again. I can tell that my metabolism has sped up. There have been days that we have had friends over or visited family and if I didn’t remember to eat when I was used to eating, I got huge headaches!! Your body gets used to having a refuel of sorts at certain times for sure.
I am going to be making some changes this month to more of a vegetarian fare. I have suffered with all over pain for quite some time now and am hoping that by making another change in diet might help alleviate some of that. I don’t want to shock my system too much so I am doing a gradual change, but I think that it will just be a change that should probably be made anyways to clear my body out.
I am happy to announce that I am down to 143.6, so about 3.6 pounds in a month. I think it might be a bit more because when I weighed this morning, I was at 142. It has been a slow loss, but I am happy with any sort of loss. I need to really watch the “cheats” in the coming weeks and add in some more exercise. I have noticed a slimming in my belly and arms and a little on my legs. I need to take my measurements again to see how I have changed in that manner. Until next week 🙂
