Have you ever wondered if science and learning could really be fun as well as educational at the same time? Well, guess what??!! Science can and learning can be so much fun. The Happy Trunk sent me one of their boxes to test out and show my kids how science is a blast AND they get to learn at the same time.
Each Happy Trunk box is filled with the tools, materials, and instructions on how to make a couple of fun projects. My kids are really starting to like hands on kind of projects, so this box was so fun for them.
I have to say that by far the favorite of the box was the slime monsters. You get a card with instructions on how to put together each project. The slime took only about 2 minutes to make and watching the kids faces as the water, glue, and borax solution made a liquid turn into a soft solid was priceless. Of course, they both thought it was gross at first, but after playing with it they had a blast. The slime is squishy and we, but doesn’t leave you feeling yucky. We had fun holding it up and watching it ooze and slide down.
The kids were able to play with the slime for a couple of days. Shhhh… don’t tell them that I played with it too π It was just too cool.
The fizzing lava lamps were pretty cool too. Most of the projects we were that you could do and it wouldn’t break the budget. As you are doing each one, you can use it as a teaching time to describe what is happening and why certain things are reacting the way they do.
I like that there are two different age groups that you can choose from for the project. This gives kids of different ages the chance to experience the fun and learning process. The boxes would also make great gifts. Giving kids the gift of learning and fun at the same time is awesome in my book.
One of my lucky readers will get a chance to try out one of The Happy Trunk boxes for themselves! To enter, simply fill out the rafflecopter form below. Giveaway will end 10/10 at midnight. Good Luck and Happy Entering π
I was sent a box in order to facilitate this review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

We just recently did the floating egg experiment for my son's class. You add an egg to water to show that it sinks, then you remove the egg, add in salt water (water with a lot salt mixed in) and put the egg back in and the egg with float. He loved it!
We built a volcano. We have also grow crystals.

longshaw4735@hotmail.com

We've never done any science experiment yet. π
