This year has been filled with a lot of fun new amazing adventures and several of them have happened at SeaWorld San Antonio. There is so much to do there and SeaWorld San Antonio at Christmas Time is just magical. The park transforms into a wonderland of lights and activities. This time we were able to get a little behind the scenes tour(that anyone can pay to get as well) and got to meet penguins!!!! I don’t know if I was more excited or the kids. haha
If you have ever been to the Penguin Exhibit you know that it has a distinct smell to put it nicely. Well, behind the glass the smell is intensified, but you adjust to it soon enough. Part of the tour was to meet with a single penguin and be able to pet them. This darling was so precious and soooo soft. Each penguin has their own number/color tag based on the type of penguin they are and which one they are. I really never knew how many different types there are. The next part of the tour we actually got to go in to the exhibit on the side, they do have some tours where you get to go out on to the ice with the penguins. They are so curious when people come in and it is really cold in there!! It was nesting season so many of the couples were gathered around and on their eggs. Such a cool thing to see up close.
Around the park SeaWorld San Antonio at Christmas Time is just so fun. Over by the penguin exhibit they have themed snowmen from Blues Brothers to Rockstars and even Football Players. This was by far my favorite part since I am obsessed with snowmen!! The lights throughout the park are so fun to see and there is even a chance to see Santa Claus all decked out in his Texas gear.
I love how some of the food boots turn into hot chocolate stands and there is holiday kettle corn as well. The kids were most excited to meet Shamu Claus 🙂 I almost forgot that they also have a largo snow globe that you can get inside with your family and get a picture. What a great keepsake to remember the fun times. Pets Ahoy even goes holiday themed. I was sad that we didn’t have time to see it on this last trip, but will keep it in mind for other ones. Several of the other shows go holiday themed as well.
If you can try to make it out to SeaWorld San Antonio at Christmas Time to see how the park transforms. They even have a special show on New Year’s Eve!!!
Awesome!
