With a new and bigger house to decorate this year, I am going to need a lot more things to be able to bring cheer and the holiday season to my household. Since we are on a limited budget though, I definitely need to get the most bang for my buck.
I hadn’t really thought of Sears before as a place to get holiday decorations, but they have a decent little section of items to spruce up your holidays. I have always been a fan of snowmen and light blue, white and silver decorations.
Sears and Smiley360.comsent me a $15 gift card to get a few items to add to my collection. I searched online first to see what kind of things they had and really liked that they had buckets of ornaments in different color schemes that could give you variety in size and shape, but all be in the same color family. That sure makes it easier than having to buy boxes and boxes of ornaments only to not use them all. While also online, I signed up for the Shop Your Way Rewards program where you can earn points every time you shop!! Bonus to this is when I checked out they were able to email me my receipt, so no more searching for receipts if you ever need to take something back!
The day that I went they were have a sale and I scored a good price on sets of 100 mini lights!! I think lights are my favorite part of this time of year. If only we could keep them up year round 🙂
My color scheme is burgundy and gold.
Definitely reds and greens.
wizkey@sbcglobal.net
Teressa Morris
