Did you hear that the Peanuts Movie is in theaters now? I am hoping to take my kids over the holidays to see it. I remember watching all the classic movies when I was a kid and I love when they show them each year around the holidays. I thought I would make my kids a fun snack and sit and watch some of the classic Peanuts movies so that we could get in the fun spirit the Peanuts Gang. It is a snack that will brighten your day- sunny day snacking with Tyson Chicken Nuggets. I picked up a big bag of them at Sam’s Club so that we could have lots of sunny day snacking.

You can use whatever veggies or fruit combos that you want and really play with it so that your kids will love to make their own sunny day outside landscapes that I am sure Snoopy would love to come visit. Bake the Tyson Chicken Nuggets as directed on the package. I started with a bed of fresh corn that I cut off the cob. I then used carrots like little trees or base of flowers then topped the carrots with a cranberry. Mustard makes the perfect sunny sun and the kids can later use it for dipping their nuggets in.DSC_1911

You could also use a mini cookie cutter and cut flowers out of watermelon or other melons. If the plate is visually appealing then kids are more likely to eat and try new fruits and veggies. My kids just love the Tyson Chicken Nuggets and why not make them a cute fun plate of food that really didn’t take much time at all. Hmmm… what other fruits or veggies would you use for your sunny day snacking plates? Do you think Charlie Brown would approve?

Watch the Peanuts Movie Trailer and I hope you will go see it over the holidays.
