I received this product for free from Moms Meet (momsmeet.com) to use and post my honest opinions. This post may contain affiliate links.

My kids often get money for Christmas and their birthdays and it is spent almost before they can open the cards and gifts. As they get older and have more expensive things they want to buy, we have been looking for ways for teaching teens to manage money with a simple app. We were just introduced to Mazoola thanks to Moms Meet and we were able to test it out and see how it could help our kids learn to manage their money more easily.

Mazoola is a web based app that parents and kids can learn together ways to earn, manage, and spend their money wisely. We so often get caught up in spending as soon as we have money, but to become successful and responsible adults, having an app where we can both learn how to have money saved, earn money for chores, and how much we can even save to donate is fantastic.

I was able to easily set up Mazoola on my own phone as well as my kids phones. You do have to link your bank account as this is how you can transfer funds to you kids. Mazoola is the first and only independently certified COPPA-compliant family mobile wallet. The super app is “Powered by Privacy,” ensuring that kids and teens can safely and securely participate in commerce in an evolving digital economy.

I love how this helps open conversations between parents and kids on just how to manage money. My kids and I were able to set up chores that they could choose to do and give them incentives for doing them. We started small because let’s face it, I don’t want to go broke having them do basic chores, but it sure gave them something to work towards. It also gets them to think about what they might want to save money for or where they could donate. It ensures that they think about the impact their actions has on money for right now and in the future.

It is a completely online mobile wallet. I would love if it had a physical card for the kids to use so it does limit their ability to pay for things in person. The debit card can be added to Apple or Google Pay where it can be used where those are accepted.

I am excited to see how long term this helps teach my teens how to better manage their money. Mazoola is easy to set up and I feel confident that my kids and my own information is protected.
