I received a gift card in order to get my oil changed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you remember a little while back I was talking about the MOM- Motor Oil Matters program. They provide you with tools and a checklist that you can take to your next oil change to make sure that where you get your car serviced is using the proper oil and also using quality grade oil.

It was finally time to get the oil changed in my van, so the first place I went was the Motor Oil Matters website to check and see if there were any certified MOM shops close to me. Unfortunately there were none that were close, so we took my van to a place we had been before Jiffy Lube. Hubby and I went over the checklist and made sure we knew what oil was supposed to be going in to the engine before heading out.

Jiffy Lube took care of my van and it was nice to see them protecting the side of the vehicle from getting scratched. The oil change and also vehicle inspection went smoothly and they were able to get my van back and in one piece 🙂

We made sure to check the receipt that they did indeed put the write brand of oil in my van. It is nice to have a place where you know that they are doing what is necessary to keep my engine running smoothly and not put my family in danger.

We checked the window and we had a new sticker reminding us of when the next oil change should be. Thankfully my van is only every 5K miles and with as little as I drive we can usually go a long time between changes.

So when you are ready for your next oil change, check out the Motor Oil Matters website and checklist. It will help you be informed about your vehicle and make sure that where you are taking it to get the oil change is doing what they are supposed to be doing in order for your vehicle to remain safe and running for a long time.
