I received the following products in order to facilitate this review on behalf of Tribes-A-Dozen, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh bread baking in your oven? It wafts through the house and just brings such a warmth and comfort. I love making homemade bread just so I can have the smell going through my house.
But lets face it, we don’t always have the time or equipment to make homemade bread. Tribes-A-Dozen helps to bring traditional bread baking home to kitchens everywhere. The Voila! Hallah mixes are simple and all natural that really do bring the flavors of the Old World into our modern kitchens.
I was sent three of their mixes to test out. I started with the Traditional, but they also have Wholey Wheat and Simply Spelt. These egg bread mixes (hallah or challah as some say) are so delicious and are really easy to make. What I also really like is that there are only ingredients that you can understand without a bunch of added junk that you really don’t need.
With only a few steps, the mix comes together and after proofing you can either bake the bread on a sheet tray by braiding it in the traditional way or you can bake in a bread pan. The smell that came from my oven while this bread was baking was just intoxicating. And to think it was so easy to make!!
You can use this bread for so many different things. It makes a killer french toast!! So sweet and the texture is just amazing. I have often been intimidated to make bread at home, but the Voila! Hallah bread mixes make it so easy to do and with minimal ingredients in the mixes, I feel comfortable serving them to my family.
