I received copies of these books from Capstone Young Readers in order to facilitate my review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Finally there is a set of books just for boys. Now don’t get me wrong girls can love these books too, my daughter sure did. The Destruction Series: Crush It!, Knock it Down!, Blow It Up!, and Shred It! by Erin Edison.
The books are super durable board books which is good when it comes to boys who can seem to destroy EVERYTHING! My son was immediately drawn to the bright colors of the pictures. He could easily read the books even on his Kindergarten reading level.
What I like the most about them is that they are interactive. Each page has a tab to pull on to move the pictures which helps to get my kids imaginations really moving. Both of my kids loved being able to make the sounds of what was happening in the pictures on each page. It also got my kids asking questions about the different equipment, what exactly the machines were doing, and what happens next.
