There are so many small businesses today and I love that. As a small business owner with my blog and other side businesses that I have done in the past, I am often at a loss on some of the ins and outs of being a business. Verizon is putting on a Minority Owned Small Business Summit on November 17, 2015. It is a free half day event of panel discussions, keynote presentations, and networking. The focus of the day is on how SMBs can achieve personal and professional results, inspire their employees, manage their business to new heights, meet peers and share best practices. We’re proud to have worked with all kinds of small businesses in the greater Houston area – providing tools and guiding business owners to manage the success of their business more efficiently.
The Speakers include: Linda Alvarado of Alvarado Construction, Inc who was the first woman owned MLB franchise owner and more who will share their insights of how they got to where they are in the business world and offer advice and knowledge of how we all can grow our own small businesses.
Register online today at this link. The event will be hosted at the JW Marriott Houston 5150 WESTHEIMER RD HOUSTON, TX 77056 USA. Registration/Breakfast starts at 8 am and the event lasts until 12:30. There is an optional Blogger Workshop at 12:45 pm. So my fellow bloggers this would be a great event for you to attend as well even if you don’t think that you are a small business.. You Are!
In honor of Small to Medium Businesses giving back to their community, Verizon will award two $5,000 donations to the charities of your choice that demonstrate making Houston communities a better place.
This post is sponsored on behalf of Verizon #vzwhoustonsmb. I hope to see you at the event!
