I have to admit I am not one that goes out and does crazy adventure type things. Maybe one day I will get the guts to go out and do something fun and adventurous, but being a mom of little ones keeps me pretty reserved.
The kids just got their first bikes this Christmas and I love documenting their first pedals and seeing how fast their learn how to ride. But what about getting a first person perspective of what they see while they are riding? Maybe a camera that mounts to your helmet or front of the bike?
Action Shot Cameras are designed to capture the moments when you are having fun outside and seeing where your adventures take you. What is great about this camera is that it can go from live action video to even taking still photos!!
This portable mini camera captures athletic and gaming adventures up-close with a front row view of all the action. The camera has upgradeable memory to record all your feats and then upload through the built-in USB port. The camera retails for around $49.99 or $99 for the HD Action Shot. They even have other accessories if you want to watch your footage instantly, make it waterproof, and more mounting accessories for where ever you may want to put it.
We played around with our camera for a bit and love how easy it is to use and set up. The USB port allows you to charge the camera as well as upload whatever video you take. Simple makes me happy. We were going to mount it to my sons new bike, but unfortunately it has been rainy. The camera works best in lots of light so indoor filming is pretty grainy. It was easy to switch between the different modes of video or still camera.
Here are a few videos I took and pictures. Little grainy inside, but the outside ones even in overcast skies turned out pretty nice.
I am thinking we may just have to gift this camera to my brother. He loves adventure and is always out riding his bike on the trails around his house. It would be so cool to see what it looks like on his rides since I don’t forsee myself going our on those types of rides any time soon. 🙂
If you have a person in your life that loves to get out there and show their stuff, this would be a fun camera for them to have. And hey, they can show you their victories as well as spills!
