This is a sponsored post on behalf of MOM. I received compensation for this post, but all thoughts are my own.
Let’s face it, we drive a lot nowadays! Between errands and play dates and so much more, we are in the car constantly. My husband works about 30 miles from our house so he is really driving a lot. All that driving is a lot of wear and tear his vehicle. He has to go in for oil changes quite often. My hope is that they are putting the best possible oil for his car in the engine so that we can use his vehicle for many years.
I know I don’t know a lot when it comes to my vehicle and getting it serviced. Most of the time I send my hubby because lets face it, the last thing I want to do is sit there when my oil is getting changed. MOM wants to makes sure that I know what I should be asking for if I ever take my vehicle in myself for its oil change.
MOM is also known as Motor Oil Matters. It is a new consumer education program by the American Petroleum Institute. Their goal is to make sure that anyone who has a car has the proper tools to know what should and shouldn’t be going in to their vehicles and making sure that oil change locations are putting oil in your vehicle according to manufacturers suggestions.
They have even created a checklist that you can save and print out before you have your next oil change. U will be heading to get my oil changed soon and plan on taking the checklist. Check back to the blog soon on updates of my oil change.
So what can you be assured of if you see the MOM symbol at your oil change location? You can be assured that they are randomly put to the test to make sure that what they have put in your cars is the exact oil that they have listed on your receipt. Too many places try and skimp out on lower quality oil than they are pretending to sell you and that in turn could cause your vehicle to not live up to life expectancy. MOM does random audits of these locations that they have given their seal.
MOM would like to give one of my readers $50 towards your next oil change so that you can look for a MOM approved oil change location. And make sure that you print the checklist off so that you can have the knowledge you need about your vehicle before you take it in. To enter simply fill out the rafflecopter form below. Giveaway will be open until 7/30 at midnight. Good Luck and Happy Entering 🙂
