Ford has really blown me away this year with all the technology and innovation that they have put in to their vehicles for the 2015 line up. They recently came to Houston with their Truth About Transit Tour to show us the ins and outs of just what all the Ford Transit is capable of doing.
If you didn’t already know the Transit is Ford’s commercial line vehicle. It fits perfectly in to many types of businesses: from ones that just need local deliveries, heavy duty hauling and outfitting, to large fleet moving. The Transit cargo van comes in three roof heights and three body types: configuring in to 8, 10, 12, and 15 passenger versions. They are available in single and dual rear models.
I was most impressed in the thought that goes just in to the inside cab of the vehicle. Being that whoever will be driving them will most likely be in the van for hours, there is plenty of storage compartments, places for all types and sizes of drinks, as well as places to hide your phone or wallet.
Compared with the previous Ford full-size van, the all-new Transit Wagon offers higher fuel economy ratings for the cost-conscious business.
These are not your typical vans of the past. They have so many ways that you can outfit them to suit your personal as well as business needs. With the greater fuel efficiency, the Transit winds up being a great investment for businesses. And did you know that automatic doors and windows is now standard on all vehicles. Safety wise this is huge so drivers are not having to reach far to roll down windows.
Take a look at a few more facts if I haven’t already convinced you to look at Transit for your business.
I was able to drive a few of the models and I was really surprised at the smoothness and power behind these vehicles. About the only thing I didn’t like was the vans without windows on the sides made it more difficult to see oncoming traffic from my right side. More power to those people who learn how to drive without windows on the sides 🙂 I guess I will cut them a little slack when they cut me off next time.
Ford is the place to go for your commercial or even personal large van needs. Check it out and start customizing yours today.
