After driving a minivan for over 8 years now, I may get a little over excited when I get to test out new vehicles. It is like a whole new world with the gadgets and buttons they have and how they perform on the road. The 2017 Lexus GS F Sport was a welcome sight in my driveway. You see sometimes you just want to get where you are going fast. The Lexus GS F begs to be driven more than just on your everyday errands and carting the kids around. It wants you to test out the powerful charged engine and see just how well it can take those curves.
The Lexus GS F almost has an unassuming look from the outside that it is merely a luxury sedan with sharp lines and that updated Lexus look. Sure it is gorgeous to look at, but until you slip inside and start up that engine, you don’t really know what you are in for. The gorgeous leather racing seats are your first sign that maybe this isn’t your momma’s sedan. Premium leather seats that hug you into place adorned with the F Sport badge. One push of a button and the engine roars to life with a low growl. What is it about that sound that just pulls you in and almost puts you in a trance?
With space for 4, you will be able to take along the kids or your fave PTA ladies for a ride. Of course our ride was just down to the PTA convention, but hey we looked pretty good doing it. There was plenty of legroom and trunk space for our luggage and “Mom supplies” for the weekend away. Hubs and I were able to take it out for a joy ride one day when we didn’t have the kids. It was the most fun we had in awhile and we really tested out that the Lexus GS F could go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. Holy wow!! Hello 467 horsepower, V8 engine.
While this particular model and upgrade packaging is a bit out of my soccer mom budget, it was nice to check it out and see just what Lexus has to offer in the luxury sedan market that is more than just a pretty face, but has the power behind it to get you moving fast.
