I was sent the below products to facilitate this post. All thoughts are my own.
My kids have always seemed to like getting out some crayons or paint and just go to town being creative. Their imagination just seem to soar with ideas. The pull from their everyday life, books they are reading, or whatever it is they are in to at the time. Crayola is so great at fostering creativity with their products from the basic crayon to more elaborate toys. Crayola is bringing new ways to be creative each and everyday. Some of their new hot toys that are fostering creativity is the Crayon Melter and the Ultimate Light Board. Yes there is now a way to use up those broken crayons!!!!!
Crayola Bringing New Ways to Be Creative
Crayon Melter:
This fantastic new “toy” or item is like a mini glue gun for crayons, but is safe for kids to use. Your kids can either put in a full crayon or little broken crayons to “paint” with melted crayons. The small handheld melter is safe for kids never getting too hot on the outside. Your kids can trace a photo just like holding a pen while the melted crayons come out to form a cool picture. You can teach your kids how to make layered art by going over their drawing with more colors of the melted crayons. I love that it can use up those broken pieces of crayon at the bottom of the art tub. The melted crayon cools quickly so you don’t have to worry about little hands touching it too soon.
I sense that I will start using it some too with crafts that I sell. Now instead of using a hair dryer to do the melted crayon art, you just get the Crayon Melter from Crayola! They are so smart!!
Ultimate Light Board:
The Ultimate Light Board takes drawing to a whole new level. The integrated LED lights on the board transform the GelFX markers to glowing masterpieces. The “board” is a plastic board with a center black panel inside. The panel can be removed so that your kids can trace a pictures onto the see-through board. They can then re-add back in the panel to light up their newly drawn creations. The lights even go at different intervals to create a fun light show.
The board can be used over and over again just by wiping it with a damp cloth. I think they should make an app so that you can save your kids creations as a picture. Now that would take it to a whole new level since they could go back and look at precious drawings and even turn them into a story book.
Crayola bringing new ways to be creative to kids who may get wrapped up in video games is so smart. I love that they foster the creative side of kids and adults with their new lines of toys and projects. The Crayon Melter and Ultimate Light Board are just a few of the newest things Crayola has put out this year. Both of these are listed at $24.99 MSRP which is a great price for something that can be used over and over and over again!!
What toys are on your kids list that can help foster their creativity?
