It seems like it really was just yesterday that I was taking him to his first day of preschool. He was scared as he had never gone to any sort of school, so this was something very new!
As you can see, he wasn’t very happy…
But over the course of the next couple times that he went, he started to really like it and I could see him get comfortable. Now many months has passed. He has learned so much!! More than I could ever have taught him at home and he has made friends. I have even made a few friends with a couple of the moms there and can’t wait to hang out with them this summer.
Even just yesterday he amazed me by writing the words mom, dad and nonna all by himself. Grant it, he got the pictures out of frames to do it, but nonetheless he has learned more than I even know.
He can be a handful, but he really is a good boy and so smart. (I know I am his mom, but he really is). I can’t wait to see what all he learns next year. We still have another year until Kindergarten, but I hope he will be ahead of the curve learning wise. I have to look for books and activities for him to do this summer to keep up with the learning without being too “in your face”.
Here are his fabulous teachers. Sorry the pics aren’t that great. It was hard to take them with an iPhone quickly. They were fabulous and did a great job teaching 🙂
He didn’t really understand the last day part of it, but i didn’t want things to be too emotional for any of us 🙂 I am proud of my boy and can’t wait to see where the next years take us all!
