Who else loves a good pie? The flaky crust with a fruit center or maybe something chocolate? Yep, I would like a slice or two. Pie is even better when you can share it with friends. I decided to host a pie tasting with friends recently so that, one, we could indulge in a little sweet treat, as well as spend some time together. Mr Kipling pies are some good pies to taste test since they are all in small sizes just right for a tasting party.
Of course, to host a pie tasting you need to have a sheet that you can write down your thoughts and choose an overall winner. Everyone will have their own favorites then you can send them home with a box to enjoy more later. The Mr Kipling Pies come in four flavors: cherry, fruit, apple, and Mississippi Mud. Mr Kipling Pies are making their way into Walmart stores for a limited time in Texas. Mr Kipling Pies are made with real fruit. YUM!
To set up the tasting, I put all of the pies in order in front of each person, a tasting sheet, pen, fork, and their favorite tea or coffee. Nothing fancy, but enough to make each person feel like home. You can print up my tasting sheet so you and your friends can have an afternoon get together.
The Apple Pie was a big hit, but the Mississippi Mud was a close second. I mean it is hard to resist chocolate!
So take a little time to reconnect with some of your friends as the holiday season starts to be upon us and host a pie tasting with friends. Remember, these pies are only going to be in store for a limited time so make sure to get your hands on some. What is your all time favorite pie flavor?
