Since I have been on a journey to lose weight for the past 18 months or so, one of the first things I really tried to stop doing was having an occasional adult beverage. It isn’t like I was a big drinker or anything, but would have the occasional margarita or glass of wine.

Being that I have worked in the restaurant field in the past, I knew how many calories can be in some of the drinks. Especially mixed drinks can really pack on the calories and sugar!! The alcohol alone in them is enough, but if you add in coke or fruit juice then one cocktail can be as many calories as a meal!!

While I see nothing wrong with the occasion drink, you have to be careful what you drink and how many drinks you have. If you are trying to lead a healthier lifestyle and you are drinking away your calories for the day, then you will just wind up putting on more and more weight.
“How to Drink While Dieting” by Michael Cecchin is a book that tries to teach you the ins and outs of being able to have a few drinks while you are dieting.

The basics of the book are fairly simple and common sense. While you don’t have to absolutely abstain from drinking if you are trying to lose weight, it is best to watch what you drink and how much. As with your food,  you have to watch portion size, ingredients, and how often you are partaking. Going cold turkey almost makes you want that item more so that you wind up overindulging and ruining what progress you have made in your diet.

What is great about the book is that it not only teaches you some things that are great reminders to have while dieting in general, but also has 100+ recipes of drinks that are lower calorie versions of those drinks that you already love. Of course, it is best to not go hog wild and have an all out booze fest, but just know that having one or two drinks is not going to kill your diet. Just watch what drinks you are having.

While I won’t give all the details of the book, after all they would like you to buy it :), if you enjoy have a cocktail every once in awhile, but would like them to be lower calorie then this book is for you.

Find out more about to book from the website http://www.howtodrinkwhiledieting.com. And don’t forget to check back on Sunday the 10th when each blog on the tour will be giving away a copy of the book!!
I was provided the book in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.

Enjoying food and drink is a natural way of life, but what do you do when weight begins to creep up and attach itself to your body and your once perfect stomach becomes larger? Average height men are advised to stick to an average of 2,500 calories per day and these calories include all drinks. Thanks for sharing information.<br /><a href="http://www.hcg1234.com/&quot; rel="nofollow">www.hcg1234.com</

There are many diet plans and recipes that can be helpful for weight loss. While some are classified as unhealthy and potentially harmful to one&#39;s general health, others are recommended by specialists. Thanks.<br />Regards,<br /><a href="http://www.ipc-athletics.org/&quot; rel="nofollow">www.ipc-athletics.org</a><br />
