I love love love smoothies. I think I have one almost everyday but sometimes I would just like someone else to make them for me. I try to get a good balance of fruits, protein, veggies, and more but sometimes it just isn’t a good combo.
Jamba Juice has introduced some new smoothies this summer that include both fruit and veggies. They even have ones for the kids. I am all for sneaking in some goodness without the kids knowing what all is in what they are eating or drinking. I will admit that my kids don’t really eat veggies at all. We are just now getting to where they will try new fruits. When they see me eating good stuff they have been more inclined to eat the same thing.
We were asked to try out the new smoothie blends at Jamba Juice that include both fruit and veggie juice. I tried the Tropical Harvest™ Smoothie one that combines mango, peaches, yellow vegetable juice, passion mango juice and ice. Yum-o is all I can say. I could taste the veggie juice, but I love having things like that in my smoothies. I have juiced in the past and was used to blending veggies into my smoothies. It was a perfect balance of sweet without being overpowering.
I also got one for the kids called Jamba Kids™ Berry Beet It!™ Smoothie. It is a combo of strawberry, mango, bananas, mixed berry juice, carrots, beets, broccoli, spinach, kale and lettuce. I am sorry to say that the kids weren’t fans. They are not as adventurous eaters/drinkers as I would like them to be. I tasted it and liked it but could taste the veggie parts of it more. It was still good and sweet and had a great taste, but my kids just weren’t up for it 🙂
I think someone needs to open a Jamba Juice just a little close to me so that I can enjoy these smoothies more often 🙂 I am hoping that I can convince the kiddos to try them out again soon. I love that Jamba Juice is trying out new things and helping us to get in our fruits and veggies in a nice cool treat!
