Christmas time means time for family and friends to get together and enjoy each others company. We love getting out all of our board and card games to really make it a fun time with things we don’t always pull out and play with during the year. Make it a Christmas game night with games like UNO, Pictionary, Rack-O, and Twister. To help you out even more, Catholic Central sent me some other 5 minute games for families to play.
Make it a Christmas Game Night
“Christmas Fun in 5” contains super fun 5-minute activities you can do with your family and friends over the Holiday to laugh, bond and have a blast! It also includes some cool facts about the “whys” and history behind some of the most time-honored Christmas traditions!
When you can get together and spend time with those you love, then it makes the time you spend together that much more memorable. At my in-laws house, the kids get to build their own gingerbread house each year. They talk about what they want the design to look like. They fill in where they see spots. It is amazing how even when we only get to see cousins a couple of times a year, doing simple activities like a gingerbread house brings them together.
Let’s face it, kids have short attentions spans. So we decided to do one of the activities on the Christmas Fun in 5 by making some ornaments to give as gifts. I was able to quickly cut out some vinyl and the kids helped fill the insides with “snow”.
During the rest of this holiday season, make sure you are making the most of your time with family and friends by having Christmas game nights and save the Christmas Fun in 5 to help give you ideas the next time you want to make memories during the holidays.

We love opening one gift together on Christmas Eve!
My favorite family tradition is when our elf brings a box of individually wrapped books on December 1st with instructions our little one gets to open one book every night for bedtime story. When the books are gone its Christmas! We have so much fun with it every year and is a great way to get new great books to read! I watch for books all year on sale or at garage sales, so when November comes…I have all 24!
We have a Christmas morning treasure hunt for the kids. We leave clues all over the house, starting with the first under their pillow, and the clues lead them to a special present. I think the kids love the hunt as much, or more than the actual gift.
Prime Rib!
On Christmas day in the evening we go to sonic and then drive around looking at Christmas lights.
