Another week down, man time sure does go by way too quickly!! Christmas and my birthday have come and gone and life with kids in school and work has resumed.
The beginning of last week was pretty rough. I think the weather has a huge factor on my pain as well as my eating and working out. It was rainy most of last week and my pain has been really high, so my mood has been off and I just don’t feel happy or good…
I took two days off in a row from running and it felt like an eternity.
My tallies for running this week:
Sunday- 5.22
Monday- 3.5
Wednesday- 4.3
Thursday- 6
Friday- 3.1
Saturday- 4
For a total of 26.12. Not bad, but could definitely be better. I have about 6 weeks left until my first half marathon so I need to step it up starting this week on distance. My schedule is 5 miles tomorrow and 4’s the rest of the week, but my big run needs to be up to 8… Longest I have gone is 7 so far, so this will be pushing it.
I have been testing out a few running apps lately and not overly happy with any of them really. The Nike+ is the only one that will track my treadmill running, but it says that I am going farther than my treadmill reads, so I am not sure what to believe. My 6 mile on Thursday read 8 miles on the Nike app. The other ones I have been trying, I have to input my treadmill runs and that gets to be annoying. I mostly only run on the treadmill since my kiddos are too young for me to go out on runs unless hubby is home. I might start thinking about getting up early to run while they are sleeping, but that doesn’t sound like much fun. So for the most part I do my runs when hubby gets home and by that time it is dark out.. What to do??????
I am hoping to have a better week as far as my pain. I have been trying to do good with my eating, but haven’t lost any weight this week so that kinda bums me out. I have two weeks left on the diet bet I am in and really want to accomplish my goal!! Just got to get focused and watch the carbs and salt intake.

Good luck finding a good running app! I haven't tried any of them as I'm just getting started LOL Your 26 miles in a week looks awesome to me! 🙂 I hope you have an amazing week!
I hate to be the jerk to say this but running/training and weight loss do not always go hand in hand especially with a 1/2 mary so close by. Overhaul your diet after and work on getting those miles in now. If you have to run when hubby gets home do you have a running buddy/group and a reflective harness? I am one of those safety squirrel types. Have fun with the 1/2 mary prep then look at the
I think it's absolutely awesome that you ran a total of 26.12 miles!!! I hope to one day be at that point, but I'm just barely getting comfortable with running about 9 miles a week. It's hard!

And, I have the same problem about when to run. I usually do it in the morning because I just hate going out at night.
