Happy almost New Year! Just a few days away we will be ushering in a brand new year. Time to celebrate and if you like to cheers to the new year, I have a new shot recipe for you that can be adapted to many holidays. It is a little creamy, little sparkly, and all kinds of fun. The New Year’s Eve Celebration Milk Shot appeals to just about any taste bud and is a cute shot to serve as the ball drops on a new year.
New Year’s Eve Celebration Milk Shot Recipe
Makes 6-8 shots
Ingredients:
- 1 c. Milk
- ⅓ c. Heavy whipping cream
- ⅓ c. Spiced rum
- ¼ c. Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
- Silver and gold sprinkles
- White cake icing
- Shot glasses
Instructions:
- Place the milk, heavy whipping cream, spiced rum, powdered sugar and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl, and beat on high for 1-2 minutes. Place the mixture into the freezer while you prepare the shot glasses.
- Dip the lip of each shot glass into the white cake icing, coating the rim well.
- Roll the icing dipped shot glass rim into the silver or gold sprinkles.
- Allow the icing to harden.
- Pour the cold drink mixture into the shot glasses, and serve immediately.
