My daughter is obsessed with kittens, but mommy is not so much of a fan of the real thing. We have always been a dog family, so having a real cat in the house is not really an option. To satisfy my daughter’s love of cats, she has plenty of stuffed kitties and some that make noises. But alas that is not enough for her. A robotic kitty might just be the answer. Tekno Newborns: Kitty to the rescue for my kitty loving daughter.
What I love the most about this robotic kitty is that it is small and it doesn’t shed. It is the perfect size for my 6 year old daughter and her tiny hands. We also have a slight obsession with miniature pets so this one fits right in. Oh and it is pink, you can’t go wrong with a pink kitten.
With just a move of the feet and pressing certain buttons on the kitten’s head, she does all sorts of fun tricks like hopping, begging, and purring. The tricks are just adorable and this is one time that I love having a kitten in the house. Don’t tell my daughter, but I like playing with her kitten when she is at school. I think the pink just draws me in 🙂 This is one time I will let a kitten in my house and be ok with it becoming part of our family.
Tekno Newborns are expected to be on “the best $15/under toys for back to school” list. Boys and girls will have two different options to choose their Tekno Newborn: puppy and kitty. Through a sprinkling of artificial intelligence, both will offer real life and augmented reality play such as nurturing, touch sensitive petting, light-up expressive eyes and most of all the ability to jump into a child’s hands. It is recommended for ages 3+ and available at Walmart and other major retailers this August for a $14.99 MSRP.
