As you have seen from many of my recent posts, I am in official soccer mom mode. With practices and games we are spending a lot of time in the van and have very little time for dinner. But I have another new tool in my mommy toolbelt that gets us fed and out the door crazy quick. Read on to see soccer night dinner dilemma solved thanks to Sam’s Club and their Family Pizza Combo.
Make ahead dinners are great, but there are times when you just want a pizza and one that won’t break the bank. I have seen a couple of time while in Sam’s Club that they have meal deals that are so affordable and plenty to fill up my family. The Family Pizza Combo includes a large pizza, breadsticks, 6 cookies, and a 2L of Coke all for about $13.98(prices may vary). That is more than enough for our family and we have some left over for the next day. Score for not having to think about dinner/lunch for two days!! The pizza and breadsticks are heated after you order, so you can either go to Sam’s Club on the way to practice to get a hot pizza or you can just reheat it right before you leave for practice.

I have a couple of tips to share with you on making getting ready for soccer practice and games a little easier.
Our soccer gear has its own bag. The cleats, shin guards, balls, sunscreen, and bug spray stay in the bag so that we can grab and go. This has saved my sanity many times so we aren’t frantically looking for gear. Also when I get their uniforms/socks washed after the games, I put them in a pile so that I know where they are each week as well.
I also have a command center in the laundryroom. Coat racks and shoe racks are my best friend. I can hang up the soccer bag on one of the coat racks and we just grab it as we walk out the door to the garage. This is also where I hang the kids backpacks and lunch bags so that they have a place and not just on my floors!!

The over the door shoe racks are another one of my favorite tools. I use one just for all my cleaning supplies, then a couple more for the kids shoes. It is my way of making them responsible for their own things since all the racks are on their level. No excuses for not helping mommy clean and they know where to look for their gear and shoes.
For our dinner, I get out paper plates and put some breadsticks, pizza, and a cookie on it then cover with plastic wrap and a napkin. The kids can eat their dinner on the way to practice and mommy/daddy can eat once we get there. No more waiting until 7:30-8 pm to eat dinner.
I want to know your tips and tricks for getting out of the door faster when you have kid sports to run off to many times a week. Share them in the comments below, then head to Sam’s club to get your family pizza combo and your sports night dilemma will be solved.

We are in full on soccer mode right now too! I love how you set everything up so it’s close together, I need to start doing this also! Plus hurray for easy meals that make it easy to get dinner and go, yumm!
Setting up the bag and hooks is a huge help since I can be so scatterbrained these days and the kids rarely keep up with their own things. If they have a set place then everyone knows where they should be and to put them back there when we get home.
Now I want pizza!
