I was sent some marathon PRO Compression Socks in order to facilitate this review on behalf of SweatPink. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am a bit late on updating my week 2 training post because we were off for a staycation. I somewhat stuck to my plan for last week. I did one day of strength training/crossfit with my trainer. She had to cancel the second day I was scheduled. I did do two days of walking/running as well as some extra core training.

One of the days I took the dogs for a walk outside, then came back and finished up about 3 miles total. Afterwards, I did about 25 of core exercises including pushups, planks, situps, hula hoop, and a couple of other things.

The other day I only wound up doing just over 2 miles or so. I just wasn’t feeling it. I am having a hard time wanting to get on the treadmill like I used to do. Before, I really didn’t mind it and it was a way for me to run while the kids were home. Now I dread the treadmill. I am definitely waiting for school to start so that when I drop the kids off I can go for runs outside. I also need to get more consistent with my food intake. I have gotten better at starting the morning with my LS Vibe shakes and using my Life Shotz each day. These have both helped tremendously in getting the nutrients I need, but water and other foods I need to be more consistent on taking.

I have two races so far in September so this momma needs to step up her running game. When I was training more regularly, I would often wear compression socks while I was running. This go around I am testing out something new and wearing them after I run and just wear regular socks while I run.

I may change back to wearing them while I run when I start to get longer distance runs in. PRO Compression socks are great for many reasons when it comes to running:

Key Features.

1. True Graduated Compression

2. Arch support with just the right about of compression

3. Stabilization zone thru the sides to mid foot. Helps provide foot bed comfort.

4. Open toe box so it will not keep your toes to tight.

5. Wide cuff for added comfort.

6. Moisture wicking materials

7. No blisters!

The black Marathon Socks that I tested felt amazing. I have one pair of another brand that squishes my toes and are so uncomfortable that they wind up making my feet go numb. The PRO Compression socks were tight in the right places: arch, leg, calf, and up to knee on me. My toes were able to move and function properly. I felt like my recovery time after my runs was much quicker. I can’t wait to really test them out when I am going longer distances in the next month or two.

I am thinking I need a pair or two of pink ones 🙂 If you order now and use the code “PINK” for 40% OFF an entire purchase at the PRO Compression online store. They are well worth the investment if you are a long distance runner or in other endurance sports.
