It is not until this year that I was able to get a more professional camera so that I could take better pictures for my blog posts. Now months and months later I still really have no clue how to properly use my camera so that it takes pictures great the first time. Well I will share my new secret with you. This little secret will turn ehhh photos into ones that pop with actually very little effort and knowledge of cameras, lighting, etc when it comes to photography. My secret is Adobe PhotoShop Elements and Premiere Elements 14.
Adobe PhotoShop Elements helps me in taking my blogging photos to the next level. I don’t always have that “eye” for a cool photo, but I am learning. With Adobe PhotoShop Elements I can use the best in what I get out of a photo and tweak it here and there even in the quick mode. You upload a photo, click on each category of Smart Fix, Exposure, Lighting, Color Balance, etc. Move your mouse over the “fixes” and with little effort the photos can change in so many different directions than was initially intended.
Take this photo that I got while in Disney. It was close to sunset, I didn’t use the flash because I thought it would weirdly skew the coloring. It is a pretty picture, but I wanted it just a bit brighter and for some of the details of castle to pop. It took me seriously 2 minutes to go from the darker photo to this lighter one and it makes it seem that I took the photo during the day and not at almost sunset. Man this is huge for me to take my photos where I really don’t know what I am doing with lighting and angles and transform them to beautiful views that pop.
I still have a lot to learn about what Adobe PhotoShop Elements can do for me, but I am excited to see how I can change how my blog posts are viewed and to be more visually appealing.
